A Study of the commands from our Lord, Jesus the Christ
Week 21, April 18th
This week's Tour Stop: "Something Different".
I got the news this week from the Doctor that my Mother's health was failing. She has numerous issues that need attention. The Doctor told me the treatment options for one issue would exacerbate the other issues. On top of this, Mom hated being in the hospital. She was losing her diginity. She spoke of just giving up. The family came together and we decided to take the option of Home Healthcare. Basically, over the next few weeks, we will witness the "Hand of GOD" as the events unfold for my mother.
I wanted to write down my thoughts on the events of the past several weeks.
First thought:
What I know "TRUMPS" what I feel
(see
Proverbs 3:5(NASB)). Feelings will deceive. The enemy will use events to make me doubt the truth. That has been his purpose from the beginning. The enemy's first words to Eve were: "Did GOD really say..."
(see
Genesis 3:1(NLT)).
So to be absolutely clear on this point, read
2 Timothy 3:16 (NASB) "All Scripture is inspired by God"
So here are the words of the LORD that I will be standing on today and during the next few weeks. I will approach the Throne of Grace each morning and receive from the LORD what I NEED for this day.
I pray that the following scriptures uplift your spirit and bring you His peace. I KNOW my redeemer lives.
(see
Job 19:25 (NLT)).
Jesus promised me that in this world I would have trouble
(see
John 16:33 (NIV)).
Jesus told me I am not greater than the Master
(see
Matthew 10:24 (NASB) nor am I ever alone
(see
Matthew 28:20 (NASB)).
Jesus promised me that if I confessed Him before men He would confess me before GOD
(see
Matthew 10:32 (NASB)).
I heard my Mom confess that Jesus is LORD and she believes GOD raised him from the dead, therefore, she is saved (see
Romans 10:9 (NASB)).
Let me take this opportunity, again, to proclaim Jesus is LORD and that GOD raised him from the dead.
Jesus promised me that he has prepared a place for all believers in his Father's house;
AND one day both Mom and myself will be with Him.
(see
John 14:2-3 (NASB)).
This is the truth. We will both be with the LORD.
It appears My Mom will be meeting the LORD face to face sooner than me. However, Jesus commanded me not to worry about tomorrow.
(see
Matthew 6:34 (NASB)).
I need to approach the Throne of Grace
(see
Hebrews 4:16 (NASB)).
with confidence and find the grace to help me in this time of need.
Therefore, I will NOT worry but trust. I will be NOT be anxious, rather, I will make my request known to my Father
(see
Philippians 4:6 (NASB)).
I will grieve at my impending loss, I will mourn, however, I know my redeemer lives.
Praise the LORD.
