Week 35, July 25th

This week's Tour Stop is "It Starts with Love - Redux"

Question: Did you read Week 1: It Starts with Love?

I never did point out "HOW" to demonstrate your "Love" towards the LORD in week 1.

Stop for a moment and review the passage in Matthew 22:35-38 (NASB),

Jesus is reminding the people "The Greatest Commandment" which was given directly to the Israelites: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (see Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV)).

Jesus told us how to obey this command during the Last Supper when he told his disciples: "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."

That is the only reason I write this blog. To search the scriptures and discover the commands of our LORD because Jesus said "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me;" (see John 14:21 (NASB)).

The take away this week is simple; start obeying.

Want to know which command to start with?

How about this command from Jesus: "Ask, and it shall be given you;" (see Matthew 7:7 (NASB))..

Ask the LORD which command you need to be obeying this week. Open the Word and seek the answer you desire. Remember, the Lord told you the Holy Spirit would "bring to your remembrance all that I said to you" (see John 14:16 (NASB)).

Pray, Listen, and Obey.
